  1. You are forgetting two other things: a) Sunshine……vitamin D is so important. and b) Organic local wine without toxins.

  2. I know this will be controversial but statistics can be made to say nearly anything. If historians are correct, 1/3 to 1/2 of all Oakinawans committed suicide or were killed in WW2. Therefore, it is not accurate to say they have one of the longest lifespans on Earth, in fact, quite the contrary.

  3. The women on show look 100 and their only half way their with their wrinkly faces. Not true that their vegetarians, they eat lots of meat cheese eggs pasta rice potatoes, they have great DNA and less stress.

  4. No they all eat fish and pork . Okinawa, Greece etc Your wrong dragon ladies. They just dont eat Mac everyday, do some active moving, a bit more sun for vitamin D absorption .And have more social activity. Beans,, no huge meaning..not bad though. Also eating food grown near their land.

  5. What we need is a book or documentary created by someone who doesn’t have a nutritional agenda, and go step by step exposing what each meal looks like from each blue zone group. Show their social structure and physical activity as well. But, these generalized talking points are suspect. I always wonder is the guy or people behind “blue zone” diet research just pushing a particular diet in the first place? Are they just cherry picking the info that sells their agenda? If we really want to know how to prevent the terrible diseases we have in western societies and live long lives, we need to closely examine these cultures and avoid the 5 minute summaries of their diet.

  6. this is a lie, blue zones do not et primarily plant based. they cook in lard or lamb fat, they eat lots of seafoods, lamb, pork and other animal foods. so much lying. they don't eat vegetable oils, they consume less sugars. they don't eat low fat.

  7. She's wrong. Sardinians eat organic pork and fish and artichokes, sourdough bread, and fresh parsley, and no roundup in their fresh fruits and vegetables.

  8. Why do people who talk about Blue Zones downplay the fact that these people eat fish and some meat? The reason they don't get dementia and Alzheimer's is because of the high omega 3's in the fish or pecorino cheese in Sardinia. If you notice all these Blue Zones are located near the oceans which also make their product rich with iodine. So the conclusion that their longevity is due to a mostly vegetarian diet is somewhat exaggerated.

  9. and we vegetarians are ALWAYS asked where do you get your protiens from ? now you know.. being from India having Dal which is kind of a lentil soup is an absolute staple and a must have dish on every house rich or poor.. Dal rice is "THE" comfort food for almost every Indian. Thankfully India being an agricultural country we have 100's of varieties of beans and pulses. we have always advocated vegetarian diet for over 1000's of years and today the world is waking up to it.

  10. NO. MATTER DIETS..
    ….MAIN THINGS…
    NO STRESS/NO WORRIES
you can eat healthy . but you have stress/worries
    YOU DIE SOON..100%

  11. This is so ridiculous. They also live stress free lives, far away from the mainland, no pesticides, chemical pollution and gmo's, have very good family and social lives and don't eat huge portions. They all walk and exercise but don't overdo it. The diet is just one component.

  12. You can read whatever you want into it. Humans evolved eating meat, and if you include organs it's the complete package. Vegetables may be good for you, but a plant only diet is disastrous for health as every long term vegan proves.

  13. MEDICAL STUDIES SHOW #1 Reason for Losing Memory ''Prescription and OVER THE COUNTER DRUGS DRUGS DRUGS
WAKE UP TO SHUTTING DOWN YOUR BRAIN
     EATING THEM LIKE CANDY
INSTEAD OF DOING THE WORK !!! EATING RIGHT, EXERCISE AND STOP BEING A JUDGEMENTAL GRUDGE HOLDING AZZHOLE

  14. Vegan propaganda. The Sardinian diet is centered on meat, milk and seafood. The Okinawan on pork and seafood. Arnold and Maria are Globalists and so of course are going to be used as a mouthpiece for this nonsense.

  15. They weren’t vegetarian that’s for sure. Many were on high fat diets. Dan Buettner is completely wrong.

  16. Every part of the world had some genetic or diets, that when combined gave them a favorable life expectancy, the difference here are the Seventh Day Adventist. The seventh day adventist community for some reason has automatic improvements once they started practicing the diet, faith, and excersice lifestyle regardless of what walks of life you come from. We believe that to be able to serve one master we should have clear cognitive reasoning, not give into earthly pleasures. Once a person can controll taste buds we can control our thoughts and submitt to GOD. Second the promise of God's second coming can see pass any evil,The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psalm 23:1. As SDA we follow such diet and faith guidelines inspired through EGW. After all who is our creater? Why not take His guideline on what diet to follow, because no one would take his Benz to a KIA mechanic shop. Same with our bodies. After all He created us!

  17. "Some of it may be diet, how we live our lives, stress" – yes, all of the above and more. You need good food, you need to move a lot, stay socially active, physically active and eliminate as much stress as possible!

  18. SATANISTS, ITS SOCIAL ENGINEERING THIS IS A CULT AND CONTROLING THE CATTLE INTO BEING WATCHED AND MONITORED DAY AND NIGHT AND MAKING OTHERS REPORT YOU. THIS IS GENOCIDAL PLANNING TO MOVE THE CATTLE FOR SLAUGHTER AND IT NEEDS TO BE STOPPED BEYOND AGENDA 21

  19. My mother is a 1 and 4 months from being 100. And no it is no fun. She can't walk very well, she has to ware diapers, her memory is bad but has no other health problems. Why do people think being 100 is so great, it really sucks cause she is bored out of her mind. She has eaten a ton of meat her whole life, didn't eat bean or vegetable or fruit but did eat lots of chocolate, cookies and candy and she has no other health problems plus she still lives BY HERSELF.

  20. Vegans and vegetarians run away when people ask if blue zone eat meat. Yes they eat meat. From what I see so far it is just eating good food that's not loaded with junk like sugar etc. I guess eating from the edges of the grocery store not the center will be best. I'll make my meat portions smaller and stay away from my favorite Reese's peanut butter cups. I love teas so I'll stay away from sodas. For now I have to have 70% cocoa dark chocolate to help with my sweet tooth. I got fresh walnuts and pecans to snack on.

  21. Strong spiritual life? So you have to fall for idiotic ideas? You need to believe some con-job in order to take care of yourself? I find it VERY difficult to assume that you need to act foolishly in order to live well?
